Birds of the Upper Midwest
Here are a selection of birds I encountered while visiting Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in late summer of 2022. Locations include Dodgeville, WI, Ishpeming, Negaunee and Marquette, MI, and Green Bay, WI. Many of these same birds either migrate through or spend the winter in Texas, so it was interesting to see them in their summer haunts.
